Novak Djokovic racked up his 26th consecutive victory at Wimbledon, although he was made to work hard for it against Jannik Sinner as he had to come back from two sets down to win 5-7, 2-6, 6-3 6-2, 6-2.

Sinner, who had just eliminated Carlos Alcaraz in the previous round, but the six-time Wimbledon champion on the ropes, although he ran out of strength and inspiration at the key moment.

Djokovic, on the other hand, used his experience and composure to keep himself in the match just when it looked as though he was heading for an exit.

The Serbian was uncharacteristically sluggish in the opening two sets but he looked like a different player from the third set onwards.

Djokovic will now play in his 11th semi-final at Wimbledon against the winner of the duel between David Goffin and Cameron Norrie.
