Stefanos Tsitsipas speaks on the elegance with which Roger Federer breaks rackets

Roger Federer is the player that impresses in many ways but no one was prepared for the comment that Stefanos Tsitsipas made about the Swiss. Federer has always been known as one of the classiest and most elegant players on the Tour.

Federer is a pure class and he has the “elegant vibe” that follows him. Tsitsipas, ranked at No. 4 in the world, says no player smashes the racket better than Federer. “The most beautiful person that smashes rackets, and he hasn’t done that a lot in his career, but in terms of finesse when he does it, is Roger Federer,” Tsitsipas told We Are Tennis, as quoted on Sportskeeda.

“No other player knows how to break a racket the way Roger does.”

Tsitsipas mentioned one example of Federer’s racket smash
“The Miami [Masters 2009 semifinal] against Djokovic, I think. That’s a clean hit.

That’s a clean racket smash,” Tsitsipas said. “And then the throw at the end with the wrist, to the bench, that’s the way to top off the smash with a cherry on the cake.” Meanwhile, Federer hasn’t played since last year’s Wimbledon due to a knee surgery.

Federer, 40, is hoping to make a comeback at some point of the 2022 season. Recently, Federer said his wife and his team have played a big part in him hanging around for so long. “My wife couldn’t have been more supportive; my coaches, I had them all at the right time.

I’ve always been very motivated, that’s why I was always able to do what I did,” Federer said in his interview with Credit Suisse. “I don’t wanna say I’ve struggled with the decision to retire, but it’s a whole other situation to think of.

You know, my career is ending and then my wife is like, ‘Okay, my foot’s still good, I just don’t enjoy it anymore, I’ll come on the road with you.’ ”
