Emma Raducanu is ready to come back to the tennis courts. The number 12 in the world started the season in Australia, with the first stop in Sydney, where the British tennis player did not make it through the first round. After the defeat in the first tournament of the season, Raducanu moved to Mlebourne to participate in the first Grand Slam of the season: the Australian Open.
After the victory at the US Open and the consequent wave of popularity, she sparked the attention of the media and insiders: for a British tennis player it can never be easy to manage the pressure and it could be an obstacle for her.
The media in her country are ready to praise one of their athletes in victories, but also to dump them hastily in the most difficult moments, as often happened to her countryman Andy Murray. After beating Stephens in the first round, the winner of the last edition of the US Open was defeated against Kovinic, also due to a problem with her right hand.
After the difficult journey made in Australia, Emma Raducanu returns to play, making her debut in Guadalajara. This is the message that the 19 year old gave to Sportskeeda: “Hi everyone! I just wanted to say that I can’t wait to go out and play in the Abierto Akron Zapopan tournament.
I can’t wait to compete again and see Mexico for the first time. See you soon!” Concluded the British. Guadalajara is only the first tournament in the Mexican program, but Raducanu could participate in the WTA 250 in Monterrey, which starts on February 26 and ends on March 6th.

With winning the US Open at just 19-year-old, Emma Raducanu has become a star, not just of tennis. Interviewed for In my Lady, Dior’s Youtube segment, the British girl talks about an obsession she had developed during the US Open.
She said: “I like having an occasional mint in my bag because it actually started in New York at the US Open. I became famous for stealing all the mints. Every time I walked past. I would take a handful and yeah, has become a bit of an obsession.”
Another great passion of Emma Raducanu is photography, to the point of always carrying a camera with her: “It’s the first thing I take with me wherever I go. I just capture some really cool moments and I love the way you can’t control the photo in that moment, so you can really be present in the moment.
It’s really cool to travel with it.” Not only the camera, but there is also something else that must always be present in Raducanu’s flank: “I always carry a ball because I train to throw the ball wherever I go.”
