Emma Raducanu: I became notorious for stealing all the mints at the US Open

British tennis star Emma Raducanu jokingly revealed how she developed an obsession for mint candy at the US Open. Raducanu, who captured her maiden Grand Slam title at the US Open, said she was stealing all the mints during her campaign at Flushing Meadows.

“I like to have the occasional mint in my bag because it actually started in New York at the US Open,” Raducanu said on the “In my Lady…” segment for Dior’s YouTube Channel. “I became notorious for stealing all the mints.

Every time I’d walk past [mint stalls] I’d grab a handful and yeah it kind of became a bit of an obsession.”

Raducanu always has her camera with her
“It’s the first thing I take with me wherever I go,” Raducanu said.

“I just capture some really cool moments and I love how you can’t check the photo at the time so you can really be present in the moment. It’s really cool to travel with it.” Also, Raducanu revealed she always carries a tennis ball in her bag.

“I always carry a ball because I practice my ball toss wherever I go,” she said. Raducanu likes to listen to music before her matches as that helps her relax and get motivated. “I always carry these headphones with me.

I like to listen to music a lot before games. I don’t think you want to see my dancing not yet, but I work on it,” she added. Also, Raducanu revealed she has two passports. “I have two passports because I was born in Toronto so I have a Canadian and my British passport, of course,” Raducanu explained.

“I’m always traveling so you never know when I need to be on the go and I keep them in this very chic passport holder.” Raducanu last played at the Australian Open, where she suffered a surprise loss to Danka Kovinic in the second round.
