The video posted to the Instagram of Olympia – run by Serena and her husband Alexis, shows the child’s very impressive swing during a tennis lesson with the caption “practice makes progress”

Commenters were quick to point out Olympia’s extreme potential, as one said: “Not her backhand already looking better than mine”.

“The future looks bright already. Mini Serena Williams,” a second comment said, followed by a third: “The beginnings of a champion, can’t wait to cheer you like I cheer for your mama.”

Proud mum Serena has also been showing off their one-on-one lessons on her own Instagram in a four-part video.

The videos feature the duo’s warm-ups, a tennis game called the “Forehand cracker” and “grandpa’s advice” on how to serve.

Despite fans already predicting Olympia’s future as a tennis pro, Serena insists her focus is more on piano than tennis.

“Honestly, she likes playing piano,” Serena said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last November.

The mother-of-one explained the catalyst of her daughters interest in tennis to be the COVID outbreak, as tennis is physically distanced.

“We started because it’s a socially safe sport, and when COVID happened, it was like, we’re just in the house with a three-year-old, what do we do?” Serena told People in April 2021.

“There was only one answer, to my dismay,” she said.

The former world number one shared on her Instagram story back in 2020 that it was Olympia’s first tennis lesson and she was in “tennis mum mode”.

“Guys, I signed Olympia up for tennis lessons,” she said on the video.

“Don’t even start with me, because I’m not giving her tennis lessons, I signed her up for some. But the lady has no idea that it’s my daughter, so we’ll see how long that lasts.

“I’m not a pushy mum, but I know how I like techniques, I want to make sure she’s good at teaching Olympia some techniques,” Williams added
