Mouratoglou hails Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic
Patrick Mouratoglou is currently coaching fine players like Serena Williams, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Coco Gauff. All the players have notably improved under the management of Mouratoglou. Recently, in an Instagram post, the coach talked about the pivotal subject of the mindset of a champion.
“Champions, they have the mindset and the mindset builds the tennis. So it’s all about the mindset… Some players that I know they are champions in their mind, I know that their second life after tennis, they’re going to do great because they process the right way,” said Mouratoglou.
Furthermore, he named two players who, according to him, possess the greatest mindset. The coach said, “The people who have the best mindset naturally, are the ones who are going to go the further. I remember Novak, he was 17, you don’t think, ‘WOW! His tennis is incredible’. No, but he has unbelievable mindset. He has the ultimate mindset of a champion. Same as Serena.”
In addition, Serena Williams‘ coach praised the former World No. 1, Lleyton Hewitt for having an amazing mindset
The coach explained that even though their tennis might not seem extraordinary at first, Djokovic and Hewitt reached the pinnacle of tennis because of their determination and mental character. Patrick’s list of players is certainly an awe-inspiring one, listing arguably the greatest men’s and women’s players of all time, along with two time Grand Slam champion Lleyton Hewitt.
